the government releases a stunning finding this morning, the tesla that crashed on 101 in mountain view in march was accelerating in the final seconds before slamming into a barrier killing the driver. thank you for joining us. this finding raises questions about tesla's auto pilot system and what actions drivers need to take. matt keller is live near the crash scene with the details, matt? >> reporter: yeah, kristen, a lot of new information from the prelame their report. we are driving where the crash

took place, southbound 101 to the interchange for 85. this was the road that walter wong was traveling on when the crash happened on march 23rd. 38-year-old walter was killed in the crash. the notable information, though, that came from the report shows the auto pilot system on the model x was engaged in four separate occasions in huang's trip. we already knew the han not on the wheel at the time of the crash, but data shows he did not brake or steer away from the barrier separating the connecter ramp with 101. this is also new. they discovered the model x accelerated in the time seconds before the crash going from 62 miles per hour to 70.8 miles per hour before impact. his widow said that the suv's
